Role Overview

We are looking for an Assistant Manager – Purchase with experience in feed raw materials / agri-commodity procurement. The role will be responsible for ensuring timely, cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality and supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

- Procure feed raw materials such as Maize, Soybean Meal (SBM), Oil Cakes, Rice Bran, Additives and Premixes.
- Plan procurement based on production and inventory requirements.
- Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, credit terms and delivery schedules.
- Monitor commodity market trends and recommend suitable buying strategies.
- Ensure quality specifications and timely material availability.
- Coordinate with Production, QA, Stores, Finance and Logistics.
- Monitor inventory levels, stock aging and material consumption.
- Raise and monitor Purchase Orders and maintain procurement MIS.




- Drive cost optimization and ensure compliance with procurement processes.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture / Commerce / Supply Chain / Engineering.
- MBA in Supply Chain / Operations will be an advantage.
- 3–7 years of experience in feed raw material procurement, agri-commodity purchase or related procurement roles.
