Role Description The Assistant Engineering Manager will support the engineering operations of Brij Hotels’ properties, ensuring that facilities, equipment, and systems are reliable, safe, and well-maintained. This full-time, on-site role is based in Jaipur and involves coordinating daily maintenance activities, supervising engineering staff, and assisting in planning and executing repair and renovation projects. The person in this role will monitor building systems, oversee vendors and contractors, and help manage budgets, inventories, and compliance with relevant safety and regulatory standards.

The Assistant Engineering

Manager will work closely with property leadership to minimize downtime, respond promptly to maintenance issues,



and maintain a high-quality environment for guests and team members. Regular reporting, documentation, and participation in inspections and preventive maintenance programs are key aspects of this position.

Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Engineering Management and Project Management skills to oversee maintenance operations and support facility-related projects.

Candidates should possess solid Team Leadership capabilities to guide engineering staff, coordinate shifts, and foster a secure, collaborative work environment.

Candidates should possess experience in Software Development and Integration as they relate to property management systems, building automation, and technical tools.

Candidates should possess a good understanding of hotel or hospitality engineering practices, including preventive maintenance, safety standards, and vendor coordination.

A diploma or degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, civil, or related field) or equivalent technical qualification is preferred.

Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment are important.

Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and suppliers are required.

Previous experience in hotel engineering, building maintenance, or facilities management in a hospitality setting will be an advantage.
