Role Overview
:The Educational Outreach (EO) Office at IIT Bombay is looking for a proactive Assistant Manager – Corporate Partnerships to support the business development team in managing the operational execution of commercial engagements and contractual processes
.The role is responsible for coordinating the end-to-end lifecycle of agreements, ensuring seamless collaboration between faculty, Deans, Legal, Finance, Administration, and external partners. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional coordination, stakeholder management, documentation, and follow-up skills, with the ability to drive multiple workstreams to timely closure
.This is an operations-focused role that enables the effective execution of commercial engagements and institutional collaborations. It does not involve providing legal advice or acting as legal counsel .
Key Responsibiliti esCommercial Operations & Contract Coordinati onCoordinate the end-to-end execution of commercial engagements and contractual workflow s.Manage the preparation, review, approval, execution, and archival of agreements, including MoUs, Partnership Agreements, Service Agreements, Corporate Training Agreements, EdTech Collaboration Agreements, NDAs, Vendor Agreements, and Amendment s.Maintain version control, approval trackers, and contract documentation throughout the agreement lifecycl e.Monitor contract status, pending approvals, and execution timelines to ensure timely completio n.
Stakeholder Coordinat ionAct as the primary coordination point between faculty, Deans, Legal, Finance, Administration, and external partne rs.Schedule and coordinate meetings, discussions, and follow-ups related to commercial engagemen ts.Consolidate stakeholder feedback, track action items, and facilitate timely resolution of outstanding issu es.Escalate delays and bottlenecks where required to ensure smooth executi on.Documentation & Process Managem entMaintain centralized repositories of agreements, approvals, and commercial documentati on.Develop and manage trackers for contracts, renewals, approvals, and deliverabl es.Prepare briefing notes, status reports, meeting summaries,
and management updat es.Ensure documentation is complete, organized, and audit-rea dy.Execution & Commercial Supp ortSupport the Head of Commercial in managing multiple concurrent engagements and operational prioriti es.Drive agreements and commercial initiatives to closure through proactive coordination and follow-
up.Identify process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and contract administrati on.Support the implementation of standardized commercial processes across the Educational Outreach Offi ce.
Desired Experience / Ski lls:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management, Commerce, Engineering, Law, or a related discipl ine.3–5 years of experience in Commercial Operations, Contract Administration, Business Operations, Project Coordination, Program Management, PMO, or related ro les.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to work across multiple te ams.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneou sly.High attention to detail and strong documentation capabilit ies.Experience maintaining trackers, reports, and operational documentat ion.Exposure to contract administration or commercial documentation will be an advant age.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and workflow or project management to ols.Please note: This is a Mumbai-based, on-campus role at IIT Bombay.
