Role Description The Area Manager – Gold Loan will oversee gold loan operations across assigned branches in Chennai, ensuring business growth, portfolio quality, and adherence to policies and regulatory guidelines. This full-time, in office role involves managing branch teams, driving sales targets, monitoring customer service standards, and implementing process improvements for gold loan products.

The Area

Manager will analyze branch performance, support recruitment and training of staff, and conduct regular visits to branches to review operations and resolve issues.



The role also includes building and maintaining strong customer and community relationships, ensuring safe handling, valuation, and storage of pledged gold, and coordinating with senior management on strategy, reporting, and compliance.

Qualifications Strong experience in gold loan or retail lending operations, with the ability to manage multiple branches and drive business growth.

Proficiency in branch management activities, including team supervision, performance monitoring, and staff training.

Sound understanding of financial products, gold valuation processes, risk assessment, and basic credit analysis.

Excellent customer service, relationship management, and conflict-resolution skills, with a focus on empathy and respect.

Solid communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Ability to work with standard office and banking software, maintain accurate reports, and use data to make operational decisions.

Proven ability to work on-site in a branch environment, conduct field visits, and manage time and priorities across locations.

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field; prior experience in the NBFC or banking sector is highly preferred.
