About The Role We are seeking an experienced Application Security Specialist to join our dynamic team in Pune, Kharadi. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting enterprise secrets management and application security governance initiatives. This role involves overseeing secrets scanning processes, ensuring timely remediation of security findings, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders across development, platform, risk, and compliance teams.

The Application Security

Specialist will be responsible for maintaining governance documentation, tracking security findings, and driving continuous improvement in security practices. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, contribute to enterprise security strategy, and develop expertise in application security governance.

Qualifications 5 to 8 years of professional experience in application security, with a focus on secrets management and governance.

Strong understanding of secrets exposure risks such as API keys, tokens, passwords, and certificates.





Hands-on experience with secrets scanning tools, SAST governance, and remediation tracking.

Proficiency with application security tools like Checkmarx or similar solutions.

Working knowledge of GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC).

Familiarity with enterprise tracking tools such as ServiceNow.

Exceptional documentation, reporting, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Experience in analyzing security tool outputs, validating remediation efforts, and reducing false positives.

Knowledge of Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) processes and audit preparation.

Responsibilities Govern and monitor secrets scanning findings across various repositories, ensuring timely remediation within defined service level agreements (SLAs).

Coordinate with development, platform, risk, and compliance teams to facilitate remediation, manage exceptions, deferrals, and risk acceptance processes.

Review secrets scanning outputs, validate remediation evidence, and identify false positives to optimize scanning accuracy.

Track remediation progress, escalate overdue findings, and provide governance support to ensure compliance with security policies.

Maintain comprehensive governance documentation, audit-ready artifacts, dashboards, metrics, and reports for executive review.





Serve as the primary contact for developer and stakeholder inquiries related to security findings and governance procedures.

Analyze security tool outputs and support initiatives for continuous improvement of security governance processes.

Fine-tune secrets scanning rule sets to improve detection accuracy and reduce false positives.

Support the development and implementation of security best practices and participate in security audits and assessments.
