Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Packaging Development Manager, we are seeking a skilled Packaging Technologist to join our R&D; team. This is a newly created position to help support our organisation during a time of growth. This role is pivotal in driving the development and optimisation of packaging solutions for our diverse and growing product portfolio.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our packaging meets aesthetic, functional, and sustainability standards while adhering to industry regulations. It's a blue-sky, innovative environment that is fast paced, with no two days being the same.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and test new packaging solutions for existing and new products.
- Participate in factory trials at our manufacturing plants and Co-Manufacturing partners and evaluate results to ensure the packaging design is fit for purpose.
- Maintain packaging information and specifications.
- Provide support and troubleshoot issues within manufacturing plants related to packaging.

The ideal candidate will have:

Bachelor's or related degree in Packaging Technology, Engineering, Material Science or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in packaging development, preferably in the FMCG industry.

- Knowledge of packaging materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and regulatory requirements in packaging.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
