– Axway API Management Design, configure, and deploy API proxies, policies, and virtual APIs using Axway Amplify API Gateway and API Manager

Develop and manage API lifecycle processes — design, publishing, versioning, deprecation, and retirement

Implement security policies including OAuth2, JWT, API key management, rate limiting, and threat protection

Configure and troubleshoot API Gateway filters, circuits, and policy chains

Collaborate with architects and developers to integrate APIs with backend systems using REST, SOAP, JMS, and MQ

Support API onboarding for internal and external consumers, including partner integrations

Monitor API performance, conduct root cause analysis, and resolve production incidents (L2/L3 support)

Participate in code reviews, environment promotions (DEV → SIT → UAT → PROD), and release management





Prepare technical documentation, API specifications (OpenAPI/Swagger), and runbooks

Work within Agile/Scrum delivery models and coordinate with onshore/offshore and client stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

8 - 10 years of total IT experience, with 8+ years dedicated to Axway API Management (API Gateway, API Manager, API Portal)

Strong understanding of API security standards (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, mTLS)

Hands-on experience with REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, XSLT, and messaging protocols (JMS, MQ)

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation (Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle)

Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and scripting (Shell/Groovy/Python — good to have)

Understanding of API governance, versioning strategies, and API monetization concepts

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus

Good to have: exposure to IBM DataPower, MuleSoft, or other API Gateway platforms

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work directly with client teams

Soft Skills

Solid verbal and written communication for client-facing consulting engagements

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven consulting environment

Team collaboration and mentoring capability for junior consultants

Total Experience Expected: 08-10 years
