AMM Author | 4 TO 9 years | Bangalore

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Author to join our Aerospace Technical Publications team. The successful candidate will be responsible for authoring and revising Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM) for Airbus programs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and Airbus specifications. This role requires close collaboration with engineering and technical teams to interpret complex airframe and systems data and deliver high-quality documentation

Key Responsibilities

Collect and analyze source data including engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

Author or revise Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM) in compliance with Airbus Technical Specifications.

Ensure documentation aligns with standards such as ATA100, i Spec2200, S1000 D, and ASD-STE100.

Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to interpret airframe and systems data.

Guarantee quality and timely delivery of authored content.

Maintain version control and traceability using Airbus documentation tools.

Primary Skills





Strong experience in authoring AMM for Airbus programs: SA, LR, MB, XWB.

Proficiency in handling Airframe and Systems ATA chapters.

Hands-on expertise with Airbus tools:

GIPSY

GIDOCA

SAP

ZAMIZ

DACAS

PDMLink

Deep understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.

Secondary Skills

Familiarity with documentation standards:

ATA100

i Spec2200

S1000 D

ASD-STE100

Strong attention to detail and quality assurance.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Valuable communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

AME/Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Technical Communication, or a related field.

2-9years of experience in technical authoring within the aerospace domain.

Certification in ASD-STE100 or S1000 D is a plus.

Experience working with Airbus documentation tools and platforms.

Knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures.
