Role Description This full time Accountant role at S&P; Global is an on-site position based in Haldwani. The Accountant will manage daily accounting operations, including recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with company policies and relevant regulations. The role involves preparing financial statements and reports, supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, and assisting with internal and external audits.





The Accountant will monitor expenses, support budgeting and forecasting processes, and help analyze financial data to provide insights to management. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure timely reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement in financial controls is an essential part of this position.

Qualifications

Strong technical accounting knowledge, including general ledger management, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.

Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as solid skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.

Understanding of relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control frameworks.

Analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data, identify discrepancies, and recommend improvements.

Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with finance, audit, and business stakeholders.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CA, CPA, or CMA) are an advantage.

Prior experience in corporate or public accounting, preferably within large or global organizations, is beneficial.
