Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting:
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements on a regular basis.
- Budget Management
: Assist in the development and monitoring of the hotel's annual budget, ensuring that expenses are controlled, and revenue goals are met.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice verification, payment processing, and collection efforts.
- Bank Reconciliation:
Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and identify discrepancies.
- Financial Analysis:
Provide insightful financial analysis, variance analysis, and key performance indicators to support strategic decision-making.
- Tax Compliance:
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations,
prepare and file tax returns, and liaise with external tax advisors when necessary.
- Internal Controls:
Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard hotel assets and minimize financial risks.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, or Finance.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of general accounting experience, with prior hospitality or hotel industry experience preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in advanced MS Excel, tally or enterprise software, and specialized hotel property management (PMS) or point-of-sale (POS) systems. Solid knowledge of local statutory compliances like GST/taxes
