Role Description The Accountant role at Homero.in is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling bank statements.

Responsibilities include preparing invoices, processing payments, tracking expenses, and ensuring accurate documentation for all financial activities. The role involves assisting with monthly and annual closing, preparing basic financial reports, and supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts.



The Accountant will also help ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations, collaborate with internal teams on financial queries, and support process improvements within the finance function.

Qualifications

Strong skills in bookkeeping, general ledger management, and account reconciliation.

Ability to handle accounts payable and receivable functions, expense tracking, and vendor payments.

Experience preparing financial statements, management reports, and supporting budgeting and forecasting.

Knowledge of basic taxation concepts, regulatory compliance, and standard accounting practices.

Proficiency with accounting software and tools (Tally), and strong Excel skills.

Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.

Prior experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in a rapid-paced or consumer-focused organization.
