/solid> The Academic & Training Specialist – Food Safety & Quality is a full-time, on-site role based in Kozhikode. The specialist will design and deliver academic and training programs in food safety and quality, including lectures, workshops, and practical sessions aligned with regulatory standards and industry best practices. Daily responsibilities include developing course materials, training modules, and assessments; supervising hands-on laboratory and practical activities; and mentoring learners on projects and career pathways.

The role also involves staying updated on emerging food safety regulations and technologies, collaborating with industry partners to ensure curriculum relevance, and contributing to research, program improvement,



and academic events. The specialist will work closely with faculty and administrative teams to support program accreditation, quality assurance, and learner engagement. Qualifications

Strong expertise in food safety, food quality management, and relevant standards and regulations (e.g., HACCP, ISO, FSSAI or equivalent).

Demonstrated experience in academic teaching, curriculum development, and training delivery within food science, food technology, or related domains.

Proficiency in designing and conducting practical sessions and laboratory-based training in food safety and quality.

Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners.

Ability to work collaboratively with academic, research, and industry stakeholders to keep programs aligned with current practices.

Master’s degree (or higher) in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Safety, Microbiology, or a closely related field; relevant professional certifications in food safety and quality are an advantage.

Experience with research, academic writing, and documentation, including preparing training materials, reports, and standard operating procedures.

Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple courses, cohorts, and training initiatives.

Commitment to learner-centered education, ethical practice, and continuous professional development in the food safety and quality domain.
