We are seeking a talented and experienced Anchor to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in journalism, with the ability to deliver news stories with clarity, professionalism, and a captivating on-air presence.

Responsibilities

- Presentation: Serve as the primary presenter of news programs, delivering news stories, headlines, and updates to the audience in a clear, engaging, and skilled manner.
- Script Delivery: Accurately read and interpret news scripts, introducing news segments, and providing seamless transitions between stories while maintaining a natural and authentic delivery.
- Live Reporting: Conduct live reports from the field or studio, providing first-hand accounts of events, breaking news, or developing stories as they unfold.
- Interviews: Interview newsmakers, experts, eyewitnesses, or individuals relevant to the news stories, asking insightful questions and facilitating informative discussions.
- News Research and Preparation: Research and verify information to ensure accuracy and credibility before presenting it to the audience, staying well-informed about current events, both locally and globally.
- Collaboration with Production Team: Work closely with producers, writers, and technical teams to ensure a smooth and well-coordinated news broadcast, providing input on story angles and overall presentation.
- Audience Engagement: Engage with the audience by addressing viewer questions or comments, providing context or analysis to help viewers understand complex topics, and fostering a connection with the audience.
- Professionalism and Ethics: Maintain high ethical and professional standards in reporting, adhering to journalistic principles of accuracy, fairness, and impartiality,



while following the organization’s editorial guidelines.

Requirements

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communication, or a related field.
- Broadcasting Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience as a News Anchor or Reporter in a broadcast or digital media environment.
- On-Air Presence: Exceptional on-air presence, with a confident and engaging delivery style, strong vocal skills, and the ability to connect with the audience.
- Journalistic Skills: Solid journalistic skills, including research, fact-checking, and the ability to analyze and interpret complex information.
- Current Affairs Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of local, national, and international current affairs, with the ability to provide context and analysis.
- Interviewing Skills: Strong interviewing skills, with the ability to ask insightful questions and facilitate engaging discussions.
- Professionalism and Ethics: Commitment to maintaining high ethical and professional standards, adhering to journalistic principles of accuracy, fairness, and impartiality.
- Collaboration and Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing news situations, handle live broadcasts, and work under tight deadlines while maintaining composure.
