Job DescriptionDescriptionHello,Greetings of the day..Currently we are hiring for Packet core engineer, Below are the details.Role: Packet core EngineerLocation: Noida, ChennaiRoles & Responsibilities- Monitor Packet Core network elements and services through OSS/NMS tools.- Perform real-time surveillance of LTE EPC and 5G Core alarms.- Execute initial fault isolation, impact assessment, and troubleshooting.- Acknowledge, analyze, and escalate critical alarms as per operational procedures.- Open and manage trouble tickets with internal teams and vendors.- Perform health checks and routine operational activities.- Follow incident, change, and problem management processes.- Prepare shift handover reports and operational summaries.- Coordinate with L2, Engineering, Transmission, IP, RAN, and Vendor teams during incidents.- Ensure SLA compliance and timely ticket resolution.- Support planned maintenance activities during maintenance windows.- Maintain operational documentation and SOPs.Technical Skills RequiredLTE EPC Knowledge- MME (Mobility Management Entity)- SGW (Serving Gateway)- PGW (Packet Gateway)- HSS (Home Subscriber Server)- PCRF / PCF- DNS5G Core Knowledge- AMF- SMF- UPF- UDM- AUSF- NRF- NSSF- PCFProtocol Knowledge- GTP-C / GTP-U- Diameter- SIP (Basic)- SCTP- TCP/IP- DNS- SS7 (basic understanding)IP Networking- Routing and Switching fundamentals- VLANs- OSPF/BGP basics- Packet tracing and analysis- WiresharkTools- OSS/NMS monitoring tools- Ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.)- Linux/Unix basics- MS Office reporting toolsQualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.- Certifications such as Nokia, Ericsson, Huawei, CCNA, or 5G certifications are preferred.ExperienceFor L1 Engineer- 0-3 years of Telecom NOC/Packet Core Operations experience.For Senior L1 Engineer- 3-5 years of LTE EPC / 5G Core Operations experience.Required Competencies- Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills.- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.- Ability to work in 24x7 rotational shifts.- Understanding of ITIL processes.- Customer-focused mindset.- Ability to work under pressure during major incidents.KPIs- Alarm response time.- Incident acknowledgement within SLA.- Ticket handling efficiency.- Escalation compliance.- Network availability support.- Shift handover quality.- Reduction in repeat incidents.Preferred Vendor Exposure- Ericsson/ Openet Packet Core (MME, SGW, PGW, HSS, PCRF, 5GC)- Ericsson EPC/5GC
