Job Description
The Sub Section Head - Pilgar at the Pipe Plant in Jhagadia is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the seamless tube production process within the steel manufacturing department. As a Deputy Manager, you will lead the pilgering operations, ensuring the transformation of metal billets into high-quality seamless tubes. This position demands a deep understanding of production technology and analytical thinking to optimize the manufacturing process. You will be tasked with managing assets and resources efficiently, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining industry standards. The role requires robust business and commercial acumen, coupled with a global mindset to drive the plant's success. You will also be responsible for fostering a culture of people excellence, motivating and developing your team to achieve operational excellence. Your entrepreneurial spirit will be crucial in identifying opportunities for process improvements and innovation. Additionally,



you will ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality control measures to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Principal Accountabilities
Oversee the pilgering process to ensure the transformation of stainless steel billets into seamless tubes is efficient and produces highquality resultsbrMonitor and ensure that production goals both in terms of quantity and quality are consistently met within the allocated time framesbrManage and optimize the flow of materials machines and manpower to maintain smooth operations with minimal downtimebrEnsure that every stage of the pilgering process meets required quality standards including dimensional accuracy surface finish and material strengthbrEstablish and enforce quality control measures to inspect test and verify the product at different stages of productionbrAddress any deviations from quality standards implement corrective actions and drive improvements in the production processbrDirectly manage a team of machine operators technicians and other production personnel ensuring they are welltrained and motivatedbrContinuously evaluate the pilgering process and look for opportunities to improve efficiency reduce waste and increase throughputbrEnforce safety protocols and ensure that all staff follows safety procedures to prevent accidents and maintain a safe workplace
