About the Role
The Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reconciliations, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. The role will also support accounts payable/receivable, audits, and management reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular bank reconciliations across all company accounts, promptly identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments, patient/partner invoicing, and collections follow-up.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date books of accounts using accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, or Quick Books).
- Handle GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance, including timely filings and liaison with consultants where needed.
- Prepare MIS reports, cash flow statements, and monthly financial summaries for leadership.
- Coordinate with auditors, CA firms, and external stakeholders for audits, filings, and statutory requirements.
- Support budgeting, expense tracking, and financial planning across departments.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing.
- Flag financial risks or irregularities proactively and recommend process improvements.
Must Have
• B. Com / M. Com / CA Inter or equivalent qualification in accounting or finance.
• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in an accounting or finance role, ideally in a startup or fast-paced environment.
• Practical experience with bank reconciliation and accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, Quick Books, or similar).
• Solid working knowledge of GST, TDS, and other Indian statutory compliance requirements.
• Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Good to Have
• Experience working in a fast-scaling startup workplace.
• Exposure to multi-currency transactions or international payments/partners.
• Experience supporting audits end-to-end.
