Position description: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled qualified to lead the mechanical operations within the Blast Furnace department at Jindal Ferrous Limited, a key player in the Mining & Metals industry. This role demands a strategic thinker with extensive expertise in managing and optimizing blast furnace mechanical systems to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and reliability. The ideal candidate will oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives, driving innovation and compliance with industry standards while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to support production goals and sustainability objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage all mechanical operations related to the blast furnace, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to enhance equipment reliability and lifespan.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and safety teams to ensure compliance with operational and safety standards.
- Oversee troubleshooting and root cause analysis of mechanical failures, implementing corrective actions promptly.
- Manage budgets, resource allocation, and procurement of mechanical parts and services to support blast furnace operations.
- Drive continuous improvement projects focused on mechanical efficiency,



energy conservation, and cost reduction.
- Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations specific to blast furnace mechanical systems.
- Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and technicians, fostering skill development and performance excellence.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized mechanical services and equipment upgrades.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation on mechanical performance, maintenance activities, and project progress for senior management.
- Knowledge of Blast Furnace cooling & utility system.
- Knowledge of Blast Furnace auxiliaries' system like as Stove, GCP, SGP, Stock House, Blower House, TRT, Stock House including charging system.
