JOB DESCRIPTION- Maintenance In charge

A maintenance engineer ensures the reliability, safety, and efficiency of industrial machinery and systems by developing preventative maintenance strategies, troubleshooting breakdowns, and performing repairs. They work across manufacturing and production environments to minimize downtime, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

* Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Planning, scheduling, and performing routine inspections and maintenance to prevent breakdowns and prolong equipment life.

* Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnosing equipment failures, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems to restore operational capacity.

* Asset Management: Monitoring, installing, and upgrading machinery and assets to improve performance.

* Documentation and Compliance: Maintaining detailed logs of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with OSHA and health and safety regulations.

* Technical Support and Training: Training staff on equipment operating procedures and providing technical support.

* Inventory and Budget Management: Ordering spare parts,



managing maintenance budgets, and reducing maintenance costs.

* Required Skills and Qualifications

* Education: Typically, a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering, or a related field.

* Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and using diagnostic tools, also required knowledge of IQ/OQ/PQ/DQ for recent machine Installation.

* Troubleshooting Skills: Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and solving complex mechanical or electrical issues.

* Software Skills: Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

* Communication: Ability to collaborate with production teams and train staff.

* Working Conditions: This role often requires working in factories or production plants, frequently in shifts or being on-call to handle emergency equipment failures.
