Job Title: Consultant Anesthetist – Full-Time Night Duty

Location: Velamadam, Nagercoil (Kanyakumari District)
Hospital: Gerdi Gutperle Agasthiyar Muni Children and Maternity Hospital

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Anesthetist to join our hospital on a full-time night-duty basis. The candidate will be responsible for providing secure and effective anesthesia services, perioperative care, and emergency support during night hours.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide anesthesia services for elective and emergency surgical procedures.
- Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluation and assess patients for anesthesia fitness.
- Administer and monitor anesthesia safely during procedures.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and manage intraoperative and postoperative care.
- Handle anesthesia-related emergencies and provide appropriate resuscitation when required.
- Provide emergency airway management and critical care support.
- Coordinate with surgeons, obstetricians, paediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate anesthesia records and ensure adherence to hospital protocols.
- Provide appropriate postoperative pain management and monitoring.





Qualifications & Skills:

- Education: MD/DNB in Anaesthesiology or DA/equivalent recognized qualification.
- Experience in general anesthesia and emergency management preferred.
- Good knowledge of airway management, resuscitation, and critical care.
- Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during night hours.
