About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Plant Head to oversee the complete plant operations, including production, manpower, quality, maintenance, safety, and overall operational efficiency. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills and hands-on experience in managing manufacturing plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant.
- Plan, monitor, and achieve production targets as per business requirements.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, raw materials, and other resources.
- Monitor production processes to ensure quality, productivity, and efficiency.
- Develop and implement systems to reduce production losses, wastage, downtime, and operational costs.
- Lead and manage production supervisors, operators, workers, and other plant staff.
- Ensure proper manpower planning, shift management, attendance, discipline, and workforce productivity.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, Sales, and Management for smooth operations.
- Ensure timely availability and proper utilization of raw materials and consumables.
- Monitor machine maintenance, breakdowns, preventive maintenance, and equipment efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety procedures, statutory requirements, and company policies.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly production and performance reports.
- Monitor key plant KPIs such as production output, rejection, wastage, downtime, productivity, and cost efficiency.
- Drive 5S, continuous improvement,



process optimization, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Maintain a safe, disciplined, and productive working environment across the plant.
- Handle and resolve operational issues effectively and report critical matters to senior management.
- Ensure proper documentation and adherence to SOPs and standard operating procedures.
- Take ownership of overall plant performance and operational profitability.

Candidate Requirements

- Bachelor's/Diploma degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing/plant operations.
- Proven experience in handling complete plant operations and production teams.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, manpower management, quality control, maintenance, and inventory coordination.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of Excel, MIS, production reporting, and operational KPIs will be preferred.
- Experience in pipes, steel, fabrication, engineering, or similar manufacturing industries will be an added advantage.
