Special Educator Location: The Behaviour Junction, Jalandhar

About the Role The Behaviour Junction is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Special Educator to work with children with developmental and learning needs. The role involves providing individualized educational intervention to support children’s academic, cognitive, communication, social, and functional development.

Key Responsibilities * Conduct educational assessments and identify individual learning needs. * Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) based on each child’s strengths and areas of need. * Provide structured one-to-one and small-group educational sessions. * Work on pre-academic, academic, cognitive, communication, social, and functional skills. * Develop activities to improve attention, memory, concentration, problem-solving, and learning readiness. * Support children with autism, ADHD, intellectual disability, learning difficulties, and other developmental needs. * Use appropriate teaching strategies, visual supports, prompting, reinforcement, and activity-based learning. * Track and document children’s progress regularly. * Set short-term and long-term educational goals and modify intervention plans based on progress.



* Provide parents with appropriate home-based learning activities and guidance. * Collaborate with psychologists, behaviour therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and physiotherapists as part of a multidisciplinary team. * Participate in case discussions, parent meetings, and team reviews when required. * Maintain a safe, structured, and child-friendly learning environment.

Requirements * Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Special Education or a relevant field. * RCI registration will be preferred/required as applicable. * Knowledge of IEP development and individualized intervention planning. * Experience working with children with developmental disabilities will be an advantage. * Good communication and classroom management skills. * Patience, empathy, creativity, and a child-centred approach. * Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
