Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Supply Chain Management. MBA in Operations/Supply Chain (Preferred).

Job Summary The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading the procurement function for utility-scale and rooftop solar projects. The role includes strategic sourcing, vendor management, commercial negotiations, procurement planning, contract administration, cost optimization, and ensuring the timely availability of materials to meet project schedules while maintaining quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Procurement Planning
Develop procurement strategies aligned with project schedules. Prepare procurement plans and material delivery schedules. Coordinate with engineering, project execution, and planning teams.

Strategic Sourcing
Identify and evaluate suppliers for solar PV modules, inverters, mounting structures, transformers, HT/LT panels, cables, SCADA, switchgear, BESS, and Balance of System (BOS) equipment. Build and maintain a qualified vendor database. 1Conduct supplier evaluations and performance reviews.

Commercial Management
Float RFQs/RFPs and obtain competitive quotations. Prepare techno-commercial comparisons. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and contractual conditions.



Finalize Purchase Orders and procurement contracts.

Vendor Management
Develop long-term relationships with key suppliers. Monitor supplier performance for quality, delivery, and service. Resolve commercial and supply-related issues.
Cost Optimization
Drive procurement cost reduction initiatives. Identify alternative suppliers and value engineering opportunities. Track commodity price trends and market conditions.
Project Coordination Ensure timely material delivery to project sites. Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams. Support project teams in resolving material shortages and urgent procurement requirements.
Inventory & Logistics
Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages and excess stock. Coordinate transportation and dispatch of materials. Ensure proper documentation for inward and outward logistics.
Contract & Compliance
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies. Manage supplier contracts and purchase agreements. Coordinate with finance for invoice verification and vendor payments. Ensure compliance with GST and other statutory requirements.

Reporting
Prepare procurement MIS reports. Track procurement budgets and project material costs.



Present procurement status and key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.
Required Skills
Solid knowledge of solar PV systems and EPC procurement. Expertise in vendor development and supplier relationship management. Excellent commercial negotiation and contract management skills. Knowledge of electrical equipment and transmission & distribution materials. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement reporting. Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
On-time material delivery. Procurement cost savings. Vendor performance and quality compliance. Purchase order cycle time. Procurement budget adherence. Inventory optimization. Reduction in procurement-related project delays.
Preferred Experience
Utility-scale solar projects. Rooftop solar EPC projects. Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Transmission lines and substations. International sourcing and import procurement. Personal Attributes
Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent negotiation and decision-making abilities. High level of integrity and accountability. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Results-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
