We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Kids Apparel Designer to help us build our product collections from concept to production.
Role Overview
As a Kids Apparel Designer, you will be responsible for designing children's apparel and creating production-ready technical documentation (Tech Packs). You will work closely with our product development and manufacturing teams to ensure every design is production-ready and meets our quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design seasonal collections for boys' and girls' apparel.
- Create original prints, graphics, patterns, and color stories.
- Develop detailed Tech Packs for every style.
- Prepare accurate measurement charts and grading for all age groups.
- Create size specifications and fit guidelines.
- Select suitable fabrics, trims, labels, and accessories.
- Develop artwork placements and print specifications.
- Prepare production-ready files for manufacturers.
- Coordinate with factories during sampling and production.
- Review samples and recommend design improvements.
- Ensure all designs comply with brand standards.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of kids' fashion trends.
- Experience in apparel design and garment construction.
- Expertise in creating skilled Tech Packs.
- Knowledge of grading and size specifications.
- Understanding of fabric types, GSM, shrinkage, and washing processes.
- Experience working with apparel manufacturers.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Software Skills
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- CorelDRAW (optional)
- CLO 3D / Browzwear (preferred)
- Microsoft Excel (measurement charts and specifications)

For each garment, the designer should provide:
- Front, back, and side garment sketches
- Technical flat drawings
- Complete Tech Pack
- Measurement chart
- Size grading
- Fabric specifications
- Trim and accessory details
- Print and embroidery artwork
- Label placement
- Hangtag artwork (if required)
- Packaging specifications
- Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Colorways
- Pantone references
- Sampling comments and revisions
Preferred Experience
- 3+ years in apparel design.
- Experience designing kids' apparel is highly preferred.
- Previous work with D2C or fashion brands is an advantage.
