Manager – Hospitality & Guest Services (Residential)

Location: Anand Dham Ashram

Department: Hospitality & Guest Services

Reporting To: Ashram Administration / Management

Position Type: Preferably Residential

1. Job Purpose

The Manager – Hospitality & Guest Services will be responsible for the overall management and smooth functioning of hospitality services at Anand Dham Ashram.

The role includes managing guest accommodation, VIP rooms, dining services, refreshments, housekeeping coordination and day-to-day guest requirements, ensuring that all guests, visitors, dignitaries and VIPs receive courteous, efficient and respectful service in keeping with the values and ethos of Anand Dham.

The Manager will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of hospitality, cleanliness, comfort, discipline and guest satisfaction throughout the guest's stay.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Guest Hospitality & Visitor Services

- Welcome and assist guests, visitors, dignitaries and VIPs with warmth, courtesy and dignity.
- Ensure proper reception, accommodation, check-in and departure arrangements.
- Personally monitor the requirements of VIPs and important guests.
- Ensure timely attention to guest requests and special requirements.
- Maintain the highest standards of Atithi Devo Bhava in all hospitality services.
- Ensure that guests experience a peaceful, comfortable and well-organised stay at Anand Dham.

B. Dining & Food Services

- Take overall responsibility for arrangements for breakfast, lunch and dinner for guests.
- Ensure meals are served punctually and dining areas are properly arranged.
- Supervise arrangements for tea, coffee, drinking water, snacks and other refreshments during the day.
- Coordinate with the kitchen/catering team regarding menus, meal timings and special dietary requirements.
- Ensure proper food hygiene, cleanliness, quality and presentation.
- Supervise availability and proper upkeep of crockery, cutlery, serving equipment and dining accessories.
- Monitor food and beverage consumption and minimise unnecessary wastage.

C. VIP & Guest Room Management

- Be overall in-charge of guest rooms allotted to VIPs and visitors.
- Ensure that every room is thoroughly cleaned, inspected and fully prepared before the guest's arrival.
- Check availability of linen, towels, toiletries, drinking water and other required amenities.
- Personally inspect VIP rooms before check-in.
- Ensure special arrangements requested for VIPs and dignitaries are completed in advance.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams for immediate rectification of deficiencies.
- Maintain proper records of room allocation, occupancy, check-in and check-out.

D. Housekeeping & Maintenance Coordination

- Supervise and coordinate housekeeping services for guest rooms and hospitality areas.
- Ensure cleanliness of guest rooms, corridors, dining areas,



washrooms and other common areas.
- Report electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, furniture and other maintenance issues and follow up for timely resolution.
- Ensure rooms are cleaned, checked and restored promptly after guest departure.
- Maintain appropriate standards of hygiene, cleanliness and presentation throughout the hospitality facilities.

E. Guest Requests & Grievance Handling

- Attend to guest requests promptly, politely and efficiently.
- Resolve routine guest concerns and complaints with patience and maturity.
- Escalate important or sensitive matters to the Ashram Administration when required.
- Give special attention to elderly guests, VIPs, dignitaries and guests requiring assistance.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding VIPs and other guests.

F. Staff Management

- Supervise hospitality, dining and guest-service staff.
- Allocate duties and prepare appropriate duty rosters.
- Ensure adequate staff availability during meal times, VIP visits and special programmes.
- Train staff in hospitality etiquette, grooming, hygiene, discipline and guest service.
- Monitor staff punctuality, performance and conduct.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, courtesy and service.

G. Inventory & Supplies

- Maintain adequate stocks of linen, towels, toiletries, drinking water, beverages, dining supplies and other hospitality items.
- Maintain proper inventory and consumption records.
- Raise timely requisitions for procurement of required items.
- Monitor usage and ensure economical utilisation of Ashram resources.
- Prevent unnecessary wastage and maintain proper control over hospitality supplies.

H. Special Programmes & VIP Visits

- Make hospitality arrangements for Satsangs, spiritual programmes, conferences, meetings, VIP visits, festivals and other special events.
- Coordinate accommodation, meals, refreshments and other guest requirements for such programmes.
- Ensure that arrangements are completed well in advance of the arrival of VIPs and other important guests.
- Coordinate with administration, security, housekeeping, kitchen and other concerned departments for smooth execution.

3. Residential Requirement

This is preferably a residential position.

The selected candidate may be required to stay within the Anand Dham Ashram premises to ensure prompt availability for guests, visitors and VIPs.

The Manager should be available to attend to hospitality requirements beyond normal working hours when necessary, particularly during VIP visits, special programmes,



Satsangs, conferences and other important events.

Suitable residential accommodation within the Ashram premises may be provided, subject to Ashram policy.

The Manager will be expected to ensure that appropriate staff duty arrangements are in place so that guest services remain available when the Manager is off duty.

4. Qualifications & Experience

- Graduate in any discipline; qualification in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Administration or a related field will be preferred.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in hospitality, hotels, guest houses, institutional facilities, ashrams, residential facilities or similar establishments.
- Experience in handling VIPs, dignitaries and senior guests will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Hindi and English.
- Basic computer proficiency for maintaining records, inventories and reports.
- Candidates with experience in managing hospitality teams will be preferred.

- High standards of housekeeping, hygiene and cleanliness.
- Prompt resolution of guest requirements and complaints.
- Proper supervision and discipline of hospitality staff.
- Effective inventory and cost control.
- Smooth hospitality arrangements during all major programmes and events.

7. Overall Responsibility

The Manager will be the single-point coordinator for guest hospitality at Anand Dham, ensuring that every guest, visitor and VIP receives a warm welcome, comfortable accommodation, timely meals and refreshments, attentive service and a peaceful experience in the Ashram.

The position requires a person who considers hospitality as a service and responsibility, and who can work with dedication, humility, discipline and sensitivity to the spiritual environment of Anand Dham.

Salary is commensurate with qualification, experience and capability. The candidate shall also be entitled to Bachelor's Accommodation and meals as per policy of the Ashram.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
