Role summary We are seeking an experienced Gold Appraiser to evaluate customers’ old gold and pledged items accurately and professionally. The appraiser will inspect, test, and value gold jewelry and items, explain the valuation, and process payouts and documentation while maintaining compliance and security standards.

Key responsibilities

- Inspect gold items visually and using appropriate testing tools (acid tests, electronic testers, karatmeters, XRF if available).
- Determine karat/purity, weight, and calculation of market value for purchase or pledge release.
- Provide clear, courteous explanations of valuation to customers and present final offer.
- Prepare and process purchase agreements, receipts,



and payout documentation accurately.
- Ensure all transactions follow company policies, legal requirements, and anti-fraud measures.
- Maintain accurate daily records of inventory, purchases, and payouts.
- Coordinate with branch manager for approvals on high-value items and exception cases.
- Maintain, calibrate, and secure testing equipment and tools.
- Resolve customer queries and handle escalations professionally.
- Stay updated on gold market rates and local trends to ensure competitive pricing.
- Train junior staff or support staff on basic testing and customer service as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
