Job Summary

Hi Mac Casting is looking for an experienced and result-oriented QA & QC Engineer with 5–7 years of relevant experience in Casting Manufacturing / Foundry. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining product and process quality, controlling casting defects, implementing quality systems, handling customer complaints, and ensuring compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and Quality Core Tools.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day QA & QC activities in the casting/foundry manufacturing process.

Perform Incoming, In-Process, and Final Inspection as per customer specifications, drawings, and quality standards.

Monitor casting processes and identify defects such as porosity, shrinkage, blow holes, cracks, inclusions, sand defects, dimensional and surface defects.

Analyze rejection and rework and take necessary corrective actions to reduce internal rejection.

Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto Analysis, and other quality tools.

Prepare and implement 8D / CAPA for internal and customer complaints.

Handle customer complaints and coordinate with Production and other departments for timely resolution.

Prepare and maintain quality documents, inspection reports, NCRs, rejection reports, CAPA/8D reports, and other QMS records.

Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 requirements.

Prepare/review and maintain Control Plan, PFMEA, Process Flow Diagram, MSA, SPC, PPAP, and other Core Tool documents.

Conduct process, product, and system audits as required.





Monitor and maintain calibration status of measuring instruments and gauges.

Ensure proper implementation of inspection standards and quality checkpoints at different stages of production.

Coordinate with Production, Foundry, Maintenance, Tool Room, and other departments for quality improvement.

Conduct training and awareness programs for operators and production personnel regarding quality standards and defect prevention.

Monitor quality KPIs such as rejection, rework, scrap, customer complaints, PPM, and process capability.

Drive continuous improvement activities to improve product quality and reduce rejection and quality costs.

Required Qualification

DME / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or

B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

5–7 years of relevant experience in QA/QC in Casting Manufacturing / Foundry.

Candidates with strong practical foundry and casting quality experience will be preferred.

Compliance with IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 requirements.

Successful completion of internal and customer audits.

Reduction in scrap and quality-related costs.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Experience: 5–7 Years

Education: DME / B.E. Mechanical

Industry Experience: Casting Manufacturing / Foundry

Must Have: Foundry knowledge + IATF 16949 + ISO 9001 + Core Quality Tools

Candidates with hands-on experience in casting defect analysis, customer complaint handling, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, and 8D will be highly preferred.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
