- Job Description – Automation Engineer

(SPM)

Job Summary

Responsible to complete mechanical design and development of special purpose

assembly automation systems and testing systems including the machine layouts and

BOM from basic conceptual information and by using the concepts and recommendations

from end to end. Will be working as a designer in design / R&D department.

Roles & Responsibilities

 Design and development of Special Purpose Assembly Automation and Testing

systems.

 Validating & arriving at the concepts for designing the above systems.

 Examine the technical specification/RFQ to determine the procedures, objectives,

test specifications, etc.

 Conversion of the design concepts into 3D cad model.

 Perform engineering calculations with respect to Strength of materials, Speed,

pressure & force and for selection of various standard elements for

machines/automation systems.

 Produce detail drawings with relevant GD&T and bills of materials for equipment,

subassemblies or product.

 Documentations- ECR, ECN, DCN, DFMEA & SOP.

 Knowledge on Pneumatics- selection, calculation of various parts in pneumatics

 Develop automation concepts and control strategies based on machine and customer

requirements.

 Design control systems, prepare electrical schematics, I/O lists, and technical

documentation.

 Program, debug, and optimize PLC, HMI, and servo systems for SPM machines.

 Support machine assembly, panel wiring, testing,



and Factory Acceptance Trials

(FAT).

 Perform machine commissioning, start-up, and trials at customer sites.

 Troubleshoot automation issues and improve machine performance and cycle time.

 Ensure compliance with electrical safety, machine safety, and quality standards.

 Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support project execution and delivery.

 Provide technical support and basic training to operators and maintenance teams.

 Person can capable to design, develop, assemble and testing lonely.

Key Skills

 Robust knowledge of industrial automation systems including PLC, HMI, sensors,

drives, motors, and control panels.

 Hands-on experience in SPM machines and industrial automation projects.

 Good understanding of machine sequencing, interlocks, and safety logic.

 Knowledge of pneumatics and basic hydraulics.

 Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.

 Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

 Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Tools

 Autocadd.

 Solidworks.

Experience

 Diploma / BE / B. Tech in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Automation Engineering.

 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in automation and Special Purpose Machine

projects.

Pay: ₹32,000.00 - ₹36,000.00 per month
