Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Tool Design Engineer with deep expertise in the Aerospace domain and advanced CATIA proficiency to join our engineering team in Hyderabad. In this role, you will utilize CATIA to design high-precision tooling, assembly jigs, structural fixtures, and handling equipment essential for aircraft structural components and sub-assemblies. The ideal candidate must possess a rigorous understanding of aerospace manufacturing tolerances, strict quality standards, and structural integrity principles. Key Responsibilities  Aerospace Tooling Design: Design complex assembly jigs, structural fixtures, drill templates, holding fixtures, and transport/handling equipment specifically for aircraft structures using CATIA.  Precision Modeling & Drafting: Create high-precision 3D models, surfaces, and productionready 2D drawings within the CATIA environment, ensuring strict compliance with aerospace client model-based definitions.  GD&T; & Tolerance Analysis: Apply advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;) principles and perform detailed tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure zero-defect assembly on the shop floor.  Design for Aerospace Manufacturing (DFM): Ensure all designs align with aircraft manufacturing processes, including sheet metal forming, precision machining, riveting, and composite bonding.  Material & Component Selection: Select high-performance materials (e.g., specific grades of aluminum,



steel alloys, composites) and standard aerospace tooling elements based on weight, stress, and thermal expansion factors. Required Qualifications & Skills  Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Aerospace Engineering. (Postgraduate specialization in Tool Design from CITD Hyderabad, NTTF, or similar institutes is highly preferred).  Experience: 3+ years of core experience in Tool & Fixture Design within the Aerospace or Defense sector.  Technical Skills: Mandatory high proficiency in CATIA V5 / V6 (specifically Part Design, Assembly Design, Drafting, and Generative Shape Design/Surfacing). Exceptional command of GD&T; (ASME Y14.5) and precision measurement metrics. Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing standards and structural assembly methods.  Soft Skills: Strong spatial reasoning, sharp analytical problem-solving, and professional communication skills to interface effectively with client engineering teams.
