Job Summary

GIS Engineer with experience in Oil & Gas pipeline projects to support geospatial data management, pipeline asset mapping, survey data integration, and GIS database development for onshore and offshore projects.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geomatics, Survey Engineering, Geography, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and update GIS databases for pipeline and facility assets.
- Integrate engineering, survey, as-built, and operational data into GIS platforms.
- Perform geospatial analysis including route selection, bathymetry, slope analysis, and terrain modeling.
- Manage GIS data conversion, geo-referencing, digitization, attribution, and QA/QC activities.
- Convert and integrate data from CAD, SHP, GDB, KML/KMZ, CSV, and survey datasets.
- Support EPCI, FEED, construction, integrity management, and operational projects.
- Create maps, alignment sheets, technical reports, and GIS deliverables.
- Collaborate with engineering, survey, operations, and integrity teams to ensure accurate asset information.
- Develop and train the team to execute the GIS related work

Oil & Gas pipeline GIS experience, especially in EPCI/FEED projects and asset management environments, will be highly preferred.

Work Experience

- Strong experience in ESRI ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, QGIS, 3D Analyst, Google Earth, AutoChart, and AutoCAD.
- Experience with PODS, SSDM, and LSDM data models.
- Knowledge of bathymetry, topographic surveys, geotechnical and geophysical data.
- Experience in GIS-CAD integration and geospatial database management.
- Understanding of Pipeline Integrity Management Systems (PIMS).
- Proficiency in MS Office and GIS reporting tools.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in offshore and onshore pipeline projects.
- Knowledge of DEM, DTM, Hillshade, Side Scan Sonar (SSS), and survey data processing.
- Exposure to ArcPy, Python, SQL, FME, Power BI, or GIS automation tools.
- Familiarity with LNG, gas / oil distribution networks, and utility asset management.
