- Inspect and ensure the quality of cutting tools as per drawings and specifications.
- Check dimensions, geometry, profile, runout, and surface finish of tools.
- Inspect tools during in-process and final inspection.
- Use measuring instruments such as micrometer, vernier caliper, height gauge, profile projector, and gauges.
- Identify and report quality defects and coordinate corrective actions.
- Maintain inspection reports, quality records, and rejection/rework data.
- Coordinate with Production, Tool Room, and Maintenance teams to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
Qualification & Experience:
- ITI/Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Tool & Die preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in cutting tools, tool room, grinding, or precision manufacturing.
- Positive knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T;, measuring instruments, and inspection procedures.
- Knowledge of carbide cutting tools, HSS tools, end mills, drills, or reamers will be an advantage.
