Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and technically sound Junior Engineer – Wiring Harness Production to support day-to-day manufacturing activities and ensure smooth, effective, and quality-focused production of wiring harness assemblies.

The candidate will be responsible for monitoring production processes, ensuring material availability, supporting operators, maintaining process standards, and coordinating with Quality, PPC, Maintenance, and Stores teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor daily wiring harness production activities as per the production plan.
- Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining required quality standards.
- Monitor and control wiring harness processes such as cutting, stripping, crimping, terminal insertion, connector assembly, taping, routing, clipping, testing, and inspection.
- Ensure production is carried out as per work instructions, process sheets, drawings, and customer specifications.
- Support operators in resolving process-related issues and provide necessary technical guidance.
- Monitor crimping parameters and ensure proper terminal and wire assembly.
- Ensure correct wire, terminal, connector, seal, clip, and other components are used as per the BOM.
- Coordinate with the Stores/PPC team to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Identify and report production abnormalities, defects, line stoppages, and material issues.
- Coordinate with the Quality team for inspection, rejection analysis, and corrective actions.
- Support root-cause analysis for production and quality issues.
- Maintain daily production reports, rejection/rework records, downtime reports, and other required documentation.
- Monitor line efficiency, productivity, manpower utilization, and production losses.
- Support implementation of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing,



and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure proper handling of tools, machines, gauges, and production equipment.
- Coordinate with Maintenance for breakdowns and preventive maintenance activities.
- Ensure adherence to ESD, safety, quality, and company procedures.
- Support new product introduction (NPI), line trials, process validation, and engineering changes.
- Train and guide operators on process requirements and work instructions.
- Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the Production Manager / Department Head.

Required Technical Skills

- Basic knowledge of automotive wiring harness manufacturing.
- Understanding of electrical/electronic components and circuits.
- Knowledge of wire types, terminals, connectors, seals, clips, and harness components.
- Basic knowledge of crimping, stripping, terminal insertion, taping, routing, and continuity testing.
- Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
- Basic knowledge of quality tools and problem-solving techniques.
- Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and 7 QC tools is an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and ERP systems.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
