Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Transport Coordinator to manage and coordinate our daily transportation and logistics operations.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of vehicle placement, transporter coordination, freight negotiation, vehicle tracking, dispatch management, and delivery follow-up. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth, timely, and cost-effective movement of steel materials from dispatch point to customer locations.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and coordinate daily transportation schedules, routes, and vehicle allocation.
- Arrange suitable vehicles according to daily dispatch requirements.
- Ensure timely vehicle placement at the loading location.
- Coordinate with transporters, drivers, vehicle owners, and customers.
- Track vehicle movement from loading to final delivery.
- Follow up on vehicle placement, loading, transit, unloading, and delivery status.
- Maintain strong relationships with transport vendors and negotiate freight rates when required.
- Compare transportation rates and select cost-effective options.




- Maintain accurate records of vehicles, transporters, freight rates, dispatches, and deliveries.
- Monitor vehicle documents and ensure compliance with applicable transport and safety requirements.
- Handle transportation-related issues such as vehicle delays, breakdowns, route problems, loading delays, and driver concerns.
- Coordinate with internal sales, purchase, accounts, warehouse, and operations teams for smooth dispatch execution.
- Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities to reduce logistics expenses.
- Prepare daily dispatch reports, vehicle tracking reports, transporter reports, and MIS.
- Ensure timely communication and escalation of any delivery-related issues.

Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in transport coordination, logistics, dispatch, or fleet operations.
- Strong understanding of vehicle placement, routing, freight calculation, and transporter coordination.
- Experience in coordinating multiple vehicles and deliveries simultaneously.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/logistics management software.




- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent follow-up, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and responsibility for timely execution.
- Experience in the steel, construction material, or heavy-material logistics industry will be an advantage.
