JOB DESCRIPTION – TRAINING OFFICER
Department: Human Resources / Training & Development
Designation: Training Officer
Industry: Fasteners / Automotive Components Manufacturing
Reporting To: HR Manager / Senior Manager – HR
Location: Plant
1. Job Purpose
To plan, coordinate, implement, and monitor employee training and development programs to improve skill levels, productivity, quality, safety, and overall employee performance in the fasteners manufacturing environment.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Identify training needs based on skill gaps, performance, quality issues, safety requirements, and departmental requirements.
- Prepare and maintain the Annual Training Calendar and monthly training plans.
- Conduct induction and onboarding training for current employees, including company policies, safety, 5S, quality, and workplace practices.
- Coordinate on-the-job training (OJT) for operators, helpers, technicians, and other shop-floor employees.
- Develop and maintain Skill Matrix / Competency Matrix for production and support functions.
- Coordinate technical training related to Cold Forging, Thread Rolling, Heat Treatment, Surface Treatment, Machining, Quality, Maintenance, and other manufacturing processes.
- Arrange training on Safety, PPE, 5S, Quality Awareness, Kaizen, SOP/WI, EHS, POSH, and statutory requirements.
- Identify internal trainers and coordinate with external training agencies wherever required.
- Maintain training records, attendance, training materials, assessments, and employee training history.
- Conduct post-training evaluation and measure training effectiveness through tests, feedback, skill improvement, and workplace performance.
- Ensure employees are trained and authorized before assigning them to critical operations or machines.
- Coordinate refresher training based on quality problems, accidents, customer complaints, process changes, and audit findings.
- Support internal and external audits by maintaining proper training documentation and records.
- Prepare monthly training reports and MIS covering training hours, attendance, effectiveness, skill improvement, and pending training requirements.
- Support competency development and multi-skilling of employees to improve manpower flexibility and productivity.

4. Qualification & Experience
Qualification: Diploma / BE / B.Tech / MBA / MSW / HR or equivalent.
Experience: 2–5 years of experience in training, HR, or manufacturing, preferably in the automotive/fasteners industry.
5. Required Skills
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Training coordination and facilitation skills
- Knowledge of Skill Matrix, OJT and competency assessment
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and shop-floor practices
- MS Office / Excel and HR software knowledge
- Good documentation and reporting skills
- Ability to interact effectively with operators, supervisors, HODs, and management
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
