# Job Description – Instrumentation Engineer

**Position:** Instrumentation Engineer – Mid/Senior Level

**Experience:** 6–12 Years

**Qualification:** B.E./B.Tech – Instrumentation & Control / Electronics & Instrumentation

**Location:** Plant Location

**CTC:** ₹6–8 LPA

**Reporting To:** Plant Head / Maintenance Head

**Industry Preference:** PET Recycling / Plastics / Polyester / Textiles / Paper / Chemical / Continuous Process Manufacturing

### Key Responsibilities

**Instrumentation & Automation**

* Maintain and troubleshoot plant instrumentation.

* Work on PLC, SCADA and HMI systems.

* Handle VFDs and control systems.

* Maintain temperature, pressure, flow and level instruments.

* Work with control valves and actuators.

* Handle sensors and transmitters.

* Calibration and preventive maintenance.

* Instrument loop checking.

* Automation improvement and optimization.

**Plant Maintenance**

* Preventive and breakdown maintenance.

* Minimize instrumentation-related downtime.





* Maintain critical spare inventory.

* Troubleshoot recurring equipment failures.

* Coordinate with electrical and mechanical maintenance teams.

* Support plant shutdowns and commissioning.

**Projects & Improvements**

* Installation and commissioning of current instruments.

* Automation upgrades.

* PLC/SCADA modifications.

* Energy and process optimization.

* Improve plant monitoring and data collection.

* Support new machinery/project installations.

### Candidate Profile

Hands-on experience in an operating manufacturing plant is strongly preferred. The candidate should be comfortable working on the shop floor and independently diagnosing instrumentation and automation issues.
