About the Project

We are looking for a QGIS Map Designer / GIS Specialist on a project basis to create accurate, skilled and visually appealing maps using QGIS software.

The candidate should be comfortable working with geographic data and converting it into clean, well-designed maps according to the project requirements.

Responsibilities

- Create and edit maps using QGIS
- Work with GIS data, shapefiles, GeoJSON, KML/KMZ, CSV and other formats
- Create and manage map layers
- Digitize and edit geographic features
- Add labels, boundaries, roads, locations and other required map elements
- Create professional map layouts with legends, scale bars, north arrows and annotations
- Handle coordinate systems (CRS) and projections
- Clean and organize GIS data
- Export final maps in required formats such as PDF, PNG, JPEG or other formats
- Make revisions based on project requirements
- Ensure accuracy and consistency across all maps





Requirements

- Good practical knowledge of QGIS
- Understanding of basic GIS and cartography concepts
- Ability to work with different GIS data formats
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to follow specific mapping instructions
- Ability to complete assigned work within agreed deadlines
- Previous QGIS projects or a portfolio will be an advantage

Preferred

- Experience with Google Earth Pro
- Knowledge of ArcGIS
- Experience with satellite imagery and geospatial data
- Basic knowledge of spatial analysis
- Experience creating publication-quality maps
