Job Summary

Sea Blue Shipyard is seeking a skilled and responsible Boat Driver to safely operate company boats for transportation of personnel, materials, and equipment within the shipyard and nearby marine locations. The candidate must ensure safe navigation, routine maintenance of the vessel, and compliance with all maritime safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate company boats safely for transportation of personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Ensure safe navigation in accordance with Inland Waterways and Port regulations.
- Conduct pre-departure and post-operation inspections of the boat.
- Monitor fuel levels, engine performance, and onboard safety equipment.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of the vessel.
- Report mechanical faults and coordinate repairs with the maintenance team.
- Maintain daily logbooks, voyage records, and fuel consumption reports.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials while ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Follow weather advisories and safety procedures before each trip.
- Ensure all passengers wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and life jackets.
- Respond effectively during emergency situations and follow emergency response procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of the vessel at all times.

Qualifications





- Minimum 10th Pass or Higher Secondary.
- Valid Boat Driving License / Inland Vessel Operator License issued by the competent authority.
- Basic First Aid and Fire Fighting certification is preferred.

Experience

- 2–5 years of experience operating boats, launches, workboats, or crew boats.
- Experience in a shipyard, port, marine logistics, or harbor operations is preferred.

Required Skills

- Safe boat handling and navigation.
- Knowledge of inland waterways and maritime safety regulations.
- Basic engine troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Good communication and teamwork.
- Ability to work versatile shifts.
- Emergency response and safety awareness.

Physical Requirements

- Physically fit and medically fit for marine operations.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to work overtime and rotational shifts when required.
