We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Pressure Vessel Fabrication Division. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of fabrication, welding, production planning, and quality control, with the ability to lead shop-floor activities and ensure timely project execution.

Position

Mechanical Engineer – Pressure Vessel Fabrication (Experienced)

Experience Required: 3–5 Years

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise the fabrication and assembly of pressure vessels, storage tanks, LPG tankers, and process equipment.
- Monitor fit-up, welding, dimensional accuracy, and stage-wise fabrication activities.
- Ensure compliance with approved fabrication drawings, WPS, fabrication procedures, ASME Section VIII, IS 2825, and applicable customer specifications.
- Coordinate with production, quality, planning, procurement, and inspection teams for smooth project execution.
- Monitor fabrication schedules and ensure projects are completed within the planned timeline.
- Conduct dimensional inspections and support hydrostatic, pneumatic, and leak testing activities.
- Review fabrication records, quality documentation, welding reports, and inspection reports.
- Participate in customer inspections, third-party inspections, and statutory inspections.
- Identify production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.




- Ensure compliance with safety requirements and promote continuous improvement on the shop floor.
- Guide and supervise welders, fitters, and fabrication technicians to achieve high productivity and quality.

Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

- 3–8 years of relevant experience in pressure vessel fabrication, heavy fabrication, process equipment manufacturing, or LPG tanker fabrication.

Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of pressure vessel fabrication practices.
- Good understanding of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, SAW).
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, P&IDs;, GA drawings, and engineering documents.
- Knowledge of WPS, PQR, and Welder Qualification Records.
- Familiarity with ASME Section VIII, IS 2825, and relevant fabrication standards.
- Experience in dimensional inspection, hydrostatic testing, pneumatic testing, and quality documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD knowledge will be an added advantage.

Preferred

- NDT Level I Certification (UT / MT / PT / RT).
- Experience in handling customer, third-party, and statutory inspections.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
