The Senior Barista plays a key role in delivering high-quality coffee and beverage experiences that complement a diverse, global cuisine menu. This position is responsible for maintaining international beverage standards, mentoring baristas, and ensuring exceptional service for guests from varied cultural backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities

Beverage Excellence

- Prepare and serve specialty coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, and international beverages according to established recipes and global standards
- Maintain consistency in flavor, presentation, and portioning across all beverages
- Execute non-coffee beverages such as matcha, chai, cold brews, international teas, and culturally inspired drinks

Guest Experience

- Deliver warm, culturally sensitive, and personalized service to a diverse clientele
- Recommend beverages that pair well with global cuisine offerings
- Handle guest feedback professionally, ensuring a high standard of hospitality

Team Leadership & Training

- Train and mentor junior baristas on coffee techniques, global beverage recipes, and service etiquette
- Ensure team knowledge of international flavors, ingredients, and dietary preferences
- Act as shift lead when required, ensuring smooth service flow

Quality & Operations

- Monitor coffee extraction, milk texturing, and equipment performance
- Ensure hygiene,



food safety, and cleanliness standards comply with local regulations and brand SOPs
- Oversee opening/closing procedures and daily station setup

Inventory & Equipment Management

- Assist in inventory control of coffee beans, syrups, teas, and global beverage ingredients
- Ensure proper storage and usage of international ingredients
- Maintain and troubleshoot coffee and beverage equipment

Support to Management

- Assist Café Manager with daily operations, shift planning, and service execution
- Support implementation of seasonal menus and global beverage specials
- Step in as acting supervisor when required

Requirements & Qualifications

- 3–5 years of barista experience, with at least 1 year in a senior or lead role
- Strong knowledge of espresso, manual brewing methods, and international beverage styles
- Understanding of global flavor profiles and cultural service expectations
- Excellent communication and customer engagement skills
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
- Versatile availability, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Skills

- Experience in cafés or restaurants offering international or fusion cuisines
- Latte art and presentation skills
- Knowledge of alternative milks and dietary preferences (vegan, lactose-free, etc.)
- Training or supervisory experience
