Job Profile:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Manager for our Development & Partnerships (Fundraising) team. This individual will be responsible for leading and executing fundraising strategies that support the organization’s mission and growth. The Senior Manager will play a key role in identifying, cultivating, and managing relationships with donors, partners, and other stakeholders.
This position requires a blend of strategic thinking, strong relationship-building skills, and a passion for advancing the organization's cause.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Research and pursue funding opportunities from bilateral and multilateral agencies, foundations, and government grants.
2. Develop and implement a robust fundraising strategy aligned with organizational priorities in climate action, health, education, and community development.
3. Lead the development of compelling funding proposals and grant applications, ensuring alignment with donor priorities and compliance requirements.
4. Strategy Development: Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive fundraising strategies, targeting individual donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations.
5. Donor Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain solid relationships with existing and potential donors. Ensure timely communication and follow-up to retain and grow contributions.
6. Campaign Management: Plan and manage fundraising campaigns, including setting clear objectives, developing messaging, and tracking progress toward goals.
7. Grant Writing and Reporting:
Lead efforts in securing grants from foundations and government bodies. Oversee grant writing and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
8. Team Leadership and Collaboration: Provide guidance and mentorship to the fundraising team. Collaborate closely with other departments to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals.
9. Data and Reporting: Utilize data analytics to track fundraising performance, identify trends, and optimize future strategies. Prepare regular reports for leadership and stakeholders.
10. Event Planning and Execution: Oversee the planning and execution of fundraising events, both virtual and in-person, ensuring they align with the organization’s fundraising goals.
Skills:
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
● Proven ability to develop and execute fundraising strategies.
● Expertise in donor stewardship and building long-term relationships.
● Knowledge of fundraising tools, databases, and software.
● Experience in event management and grant writing.
Desired qualifications/experience:
● Experience working in sectors such as climate action, renewable energy, global health, education, and livelihood generation.
● Familiarity with impact measurement frameworks,
SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), and ESG reporting.
● Ability to work across time zones and cultures, engaging with global donors and field teams.
● Proficiency in fundraising CRM software, donor databases, and digital fundraising tools.
● Passionate about sustainability, social equity, and last-mile development solutions.
● 8+ years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, business development, or grant writing in the nonprofit, development, or social impact sector.
● Proven success in securing large-scale grants, corporate partnerships, or philanthropic funding.
● Strong network and knowledge of international funding landscapes, ESG investment trends, and social impact financing.
Location:
● The position will be based at Remote/Hybride/On site, EMPBindi International Association, Tilonia- Harmada Road, Village Harmada, 305812, District Ajmer, Rajasthan, India.
● Some travel may be required for donor meetings and events.
