Job Description – R&D; Engineer (Fresher)

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and technically curious R&D; Engineer – Linux/System Software to join our R&D; team. The candidate should have strong fundamentals in Linux, Operating Systems, Shell Scripting, and Programming, along with basic hardware knowledge and a passion for problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain Linux-based software, tools, and automation scripts.
- Write Shell/Bash and Python/C/C++ programs for automation and system-level tasks.
- Troubleshoot Linux, application, and system-level issues.
- Work with processes, memory, filesystems, networking, and system services.
- Perform basic system performance analysis and optimization.
- Work on PoCs, technical evaluations, testing, debugging, and R&D; activities.
- Research and evaluate new technologies relevant to our products.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on product development and technical problem-solving.

Required Skills

- Good understanding of Linux fundamentals and command-line tools.
- Knowledge of Operating System concepts – processes, threads, memory management, filesystems, IPC, system calls, etc.
- Good hands-on knowledge of Shell/Bash scripting.




- Strong programming fundamentals in C/C++ and/or Python.
- Valuable understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware – CPU, RAM, storage, networking, and system resources.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies independently.

Good to Have

- Exposure to Git, Docker, virtualization, or Linux server environments.
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, SSH, DNS, and system monitoring.
- Academic/personal projects involving Linux, system programming, automation, AI/ML, or hardware/software integration.

Education

BE/B.Tech – Computer Science, Information Science, Electronics, or related disciplines
MCA / AIML / AI & Data Science graduates with strong programming fundamentals are also encouraged to apply.

Ideal Candidate

A hands-on fresher who enjoys understanding how systems work internally, is comfortable working on Linux, can write scripts/code independently, and has a strong interest in R&D;, system software, performance optimization, and emerging technologies.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
