Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially aware Garments Merchandiser to manage the merchandising process from product development and order confirmation through production, quality control, and final shipment. The candidate will coordinate closely with customers, design, sourcing, production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure orders are delivered on time and according to customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the complete merchandising cycle from order receipt to final shipment.
- Coordinate with buyers/customers regarding product specifications, samples, approvals, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and maintain tech packs, BOMs, order sheets, T&A; calendars, and production follow-up documents.
- Coordinate with design and production teams for sample development, fit samples, size sets, PP samples, and final approvals.
- Follow up on fabric, trims, accessories, and other raw-material requirements.
- Coordinate with sourcing and purchase teams to ensure materials are available as per production timelines.
- Monitor production progress and ensure orders are completed within the agreed delivery schedule.
- Coordinate with quality-control teams to ensure products meet approved specifications and quality standards.
- Identify and resolve issues related to fabric, trims, sampling, production, quality, and delivery.
- Maintain regular communication with buyers and provide timely updates on order status.
- Coordinate with logistics and commercial teams for packing, documentation, and shipment.
- Monitor order costing, margins, consumption, and commercial aspects of assigned orders.
- Maintain accurate records of orders,



approvals, production status, and shipment schedules.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with internal departments to prevent delays and ensure timely execution.
- Support the merchandising team in achieving customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Technology, Apparel Production, Textile, Merchandising, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in garment/apparel merchandising.
- Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing and production processes.
- Good understanding of fabrics, trims, garment construction, measurements, and quality standards.
- Experience in handling buyer communication and order coordination.
- Good knowledge of sampling and approval processes.
- Solid follow-up, coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and merchandising-related ERP/software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and coordinate effectively with multiple departments.

Preferred Experience

- Experience handling domestic or international apparel buyers will be an advantage.
- Experience in export garment merchandising is preferred.
- Exposure to fashion trends, product development, and garment costing will be an added advantage.
