Job Summary:
The Social Studies Teacher will be responsible for teaching a diverse curriculum that covers history, geography, government, and economics for middle school students (grades 3-5). The ideal candidate will have a passion for history and the social sciences, as well as the ability to make complex concepts accessible to students at varying levels of academic achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state and national standards.
- Teach Social Studies courses in grades 3 through 5, covering topics .
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel respected and supported.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and technologies to engage students, including project-based learning, multimedia resources, and hands-on activities.
- Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, quizzes, projects, and tests.
- Provide timely feedback to students and parents on academic performance.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop interdisciplinary lessons and support student success.
- Foster a love for learning by encouraging students to think critically and make connections between history and the present.
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and extracurricular activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree .
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.
- Prior experience teaching grades (3–5), preferably in a CBSE school.
- Strong understanding of CBSE curriculum and teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and passion for teaching young learners.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to use smart boards and digital teaching tools.
- Solid classroom management skills.
- Activity-based and experiential learning approach.
