Job Description – Inventory Management Incharge (SAP Mandatory)
Position: Inventory Management Incharge Department: Stores & Inventory Location: Knit Gallery India Private Limited (KGIPL) Reporting To: Head –Operations & Finance
Job Purpose
To ensure effective inventory planning, control, monitoring, and reporting across all KGIPL manufacturing units through SAP, maintaining accurate stock records, minimizing inventory losses, and supporting uninterrupted production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end inventory operations across all manufacturing units and warehouses.
- Ensure 100% inventory accuracy through timely recording of all inventory transactions in SAP.
- Monitor raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), finished goods, consumables, packing materials, and accessories.
- Ensure all Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Goods Issue Notes (GIN), Stock Transfers, and Production Confirmations are processed accurately in SAP.
- Reconcile physical inventory with SAP stock on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Conduct periodic stock verification and coordinate annual physical inventory audits.
- Investigate inventory variances and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, obsolete, and excess inventory and submit recommendations to management.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Merchandising, Finance, and Stores to maintain optimum inventory levels.
- Ensure proper documentation for all inventory transactions and compliance with internal control procedures.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports on inventory position, stock ageing, inventory turnover, and variances.
- Monitor inventory valuation and support the Finance team during month-end and year-end closing.
- Ensure timely stock transfers between manufacturing units through SAP.
- Support SAP master data maintenance relating to inventory items, storage locations, and material movements.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory requirements, and audit compliance.
SAP Responsibilities (Mandatory)
- Daily operation of SAP Inventory Management (MM) module.
- Posting of GRN, Material Issue, Stock Transfer, Material Return, and Inventory Adjustments.
- Monitor pending SAP transactions and resolve discrepancies.
- Generate SAP inventory reports and dashboards.
- Coordinate with the SAP support team for issue resolution and process improvements.
- Ensure all inventory transactions are completed in SAP on a real-time basis.
Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
Additional certification in Inventory Management or SAP will be an added advantage.
Experience
5–8 years of experience in Inventory Management, preferably in the garment, textile, or manufacturing industry.
Experience in handling inventory across multiple manufacturing locations is preferred.

Mandatory Skills
Hands-on experience in SAP (MM Module) – Mandatory
Solid knowledge of inventory control procedures.
Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills.
Good understanding of warehouse operations and material flow.
Proficiency in MS Excel and MIS reporting.
Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.
Strong communication and team coordination skills.
SAP Knowledge is Mandatory. Candidates without hands-on SAP Inventory Management (MM) experience will not be considered.
Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
