About the Role

ICE Aero Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer who is retired or semi-retired and interested in contributing on a part-time, hybrid basis.

The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience in mechanical design, CAD, engineering drawings, and design problem-solving. This role is particularly suited to an experienced professional who would like to continue applying their technical expertise while enjoying a flexible work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

- Support mechanical design and development activities for ongoing projects.
- Prepare, review, and modify 2D/3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
- Develop mechanical components, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings.
- Review designs for functionality, manufacturability, fit, and ease of assembly.
- Provide technical solutions to design and engineering challenges.
- Assist in design modifications, improvements, and optimization of existing products.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve design-related issues.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and design documentation.
- Provide guidance and technical inputs based on extensive industry experience.
- Support projects remotely while attending the Ghaziabad office when required.

Candidate Profile

- Retired or semi-retired Mechanical Design Engineer with substantial industry experience.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering practices.




- Proven experience with CAD-based mechanical design and drafting.
- Ability to independently understand engineering requirements and develop practical design solutions.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, tolerances, fits, and assemblies.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a small engineering team.
- Previous experience in aerospace/aviation, precision engineering, manufacturing, or related industries will be an advantage.

Preferred Technical Skills

- Proficiency in one or more mechanical CAD platforms such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
- Engineering drawing and GD&T; knowledge.
- 3D modeling and assembly design.
- Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Knowledge of fabrication, machining, sheet metal, and other relevant manufacturing processes.

Work Arrangement

- Part-time engagement with flexible working hours.
- Hybrid model: combination of remote work and periodic visits to the Ghaziabad office.
- Working schedule can be mutually agreed based on project requirements and candidate availability.
