About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer – Electrical to manage and supervise electrical construction activities for CHESCOM and KPTCL projects involving 220kV/110kV/66kV Sub-Stations, EHT Lines and Underground Cable Works.

The candidate will be responsible for site execution, equipment erection, cable laying, testing and commissioning, material management, ROW coordination and liaison with department engineers to ensure timely and quality completion of assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day electrical construction activities at project sites.
- Execute construction works for 220kV/110kV/66kV Sub-Stations and transmission lines.
- Supervise erection and installation of electrical equipment, including:
- Power Transformers
- CTs
- PTs
- Isolators
- Circuit Breakers
- Other substation equipment
- Monitor UG cable and control cable laying activities.
- Supervise testing and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
- Supervise construction of 220kV/110kV/66kV transmission lines.
- Monitor tower foundation and related civil works for transmission lines.
- Supervise conductor stringing and other line construction activities.
- Maintain proper material accounting,



reconciliation and site records.
- Coordinate with department engineers, contractors and other project stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve Right of Way (ROW) issues in coordination with the concerned authorities.
- Supervise 110kV/66kV UG cable laying, testing and commissioning.
- Ensure construction activities are carried out as per approved drawings, technical specifications and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with site safety procedures and electrical safety requirements.
- Monitor manpower, materials, equipment and work progress at site.
- Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, site records and other project documentation.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager and GM – EHV Works regarding project progress, technical issues and site requirements.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned works as per project schedules.
- Perform other project-related responsibilities as assigned by the management.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of 220kV/110kV/66kV Sub-Station construction.
- Practical knowledge of erection of:
- Power Transformers
- CTs/PTs
- Isolators
- Circuit Breakers
- Other EHV equipment
- Knowledge of UG Cable and Control Cable laying, testing and commissioning.
- Knowledge of 220kV/110kV/66kV transmission line construction.
- Knowledge of tower foundation and conductor stringing works.




- Knowledge of 110kV/66kV UG cable laying and commissioning.
- Good understanding of material accounting and reconciliation.
- Ability to handle ROW-related issues.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with KPTCL/CHESCOM department engineers and contractors.
- Good knowledge of site documentation, quality control and safety practices.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Experience

- 3–5 years of relevant experience in electrical construction projects.
- Experience in construction of 220kV/110kV/66kV Sub-Stations, Transmission Lines and UG Cable Works.
- Experience in KPTCL projects will be preferred.
- Candidates who have worked with reputed private companies or Super Grade Electrical Contractors in Karnataka will be preferred.

Compensation

Salary: As per the candidate’s last drawn salary, commensurate with relevant experience, technical expertise and project responsibilities, along with applicable allowances and benefits as per company policy.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
