Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Integration Engineer with expertise in FHIR, HL7, REST APIs, Java, Spring Boot, and Apache Camel to build and support scalable healthcare interoperability solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience integrating EMR/EHR systems, developing secure APIs, and delivering enterprise-grade healthcare integrations.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain healthcare integrations using HL7 v2.x, FHIR R4, REST APIs, and Apache Camel.
- Develop scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build integration workflows, mappings, routing, and data transformations.
- Integrate EMR/EHR systems, HIEs, payer platforms, and third-party healthcare applications.
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize integration performance.
- Participate in solution architecture, technical design, and code reviews.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployments, and DevOps initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare interoperability standards.

Required Skills

- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in healthcare integrations.




- Strong expertise in:
- HL7 v2.x & FHIR R4
- Java/J2EE & Spring Boot
- RESTful APIs
- Apache Camel
- Microservices Architecture
- Experience integrating with EMR/EHR, HIE, payer, or healthcare platforms.
- Solid debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP) and middleware technologies.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with EMR platforms such as Epic, Cerner/Oracle Health, Allscripts, Meditech, or Athenahealth.
- Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevOps.
- Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams.
- Knowledge of HIPAA-compliant application development.

Certifications (Preferred)

- HL7/FHIR Certification
- MuleSoft or Apigee Certification
- AWS, Azure, or GCP Certification
