Gilly Professional Kitchens is a leading manufacturer of commercial kitchen, refrigeration and food-service equipment. Our manufacturing facility handles stainless-steel fabrication, sheet-metal processing, laser cutting, CNC bending, welding, assembly, refrigeration and customised project-based manufacturing.

We are looking for a hands-on Production Engineer who can manage day-to-day production activities, coordinate manpower and machines, monitor quality and ensure equipment is manufactured and dispatched as per committed timelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Execution

- Plan daily and weekly production activities based on approved drawings, BOMs and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate production across laser cutting, CNC bending, fabrication, welding, grinding, assembly and finishing.
- Ensure jobs are completed as per production priorities and committed project timelines.
- Monitor work-in-progress and identify delays or bottlenecks.
- Prepare and update daily production schedules and reports.

2. Shop-Floor Management

- Allocate work to supervisors, fabricators, welders, fitters and helpers.
- Monitor manpower utilisation and productivity.
- Ensure correct manufacturing processes and sequence are followed.
- Conduct regular shop-floor inspections and track production status.
- Maintain discipline, housekeeping and proper workflow on the production floor.

3. Drawing & BOM Coordination

- Study production drawings, technical specifications and BOMs before starting fabrication.
- Coordinate with the Design Department for drawing clarifications and revisions.
- Ensure material dimensions, thicknesses and specifications are followed correctly.
- Highlight drawing or BOM discrepancies before production to minimise rework.

4. Quality Control

- Ensure finished equipment meets approved drawings, dimensions and quality standards.
- Check fabrication quality, welding, grinding, finishing, alignment and assembly.




- Identify defects and take corrective action before equipment moves to the next stage.
- Reduce rejection, rework and material wastage through process control.

5. Material & Inventory Coordination

- Coordinate with Stores and Purchase teams for timely availability of raw materials and bought-out components.
- Monitor stainless-steel sheet utilisation and minimise scrap.
- Ensure materials are issued against correct job/project codes.
- Track shortages that may impact production schedules.

6. Machine & Process Coordination

- Coordinate utilisation of equipment such as:
- Laser cutting machines
- CNC press brakes/bending machines
- Laser welding machines
- TIG/MIG welding equipment
- Grinding and polishing equipment
- Sheet-metal fabrication machinery
- Ensure machines are utilised efficiently and breakdowns are reported immediately.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance with the maintenance team.

7. Productivity & Process Improvement

- Monitor production output against planned targets.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manufacturing time and improve productivity.
- Develop standard manufacturing methods and work instructions.
- Reduce material wastage, idle time and unnecessary handling.
- Support implementation of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

8. Coordination with Other Departments

- Work closely with Design, Purchase, Stores, Projects, Quality and Dispatch teams.
- Coordinate with Project Managers regarding priority orders and delivery commitments.
- Ensure completed equipment is handed over for testing, packing and dispatch on time.

9. ERP & Production Documentation

- Update production status in the company’s ERP system.
- Maintain job cards, production reports and material consumption records.




- Ensure proper closure of production orders and BOM consumption.
- Experience with Odoo Manufacturing / MRP will be an advantage.

Candidate Profile

- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 3–7 years of relevant experience in sheet-metal fabrication, stainless-steel equipment manufacturing or engineering manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of fabrication drawings and manufacturing processes.
- Good knowledge of stainless-steel sheet-metal fabrication.
- Experience with CNC bending, laser cutting and welding processes preferred.
- Ability to manage shop-floor manpower and multiple production jobs simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.
- Should be willing to work closely on the factory floor and take complete ownership of production targets.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a hands-on Production Engineer who takes ownership of the shop floor.

The role requires someone who can convert drawings and production plans into finished equipment, coordinate teams and machines, solve problems quickly and ensure that quality and delivery commitments are achieved every day.

The candidate should be proactive, disciplined and comfortable working in a rapid-moving customised manufacturing environment.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹13,963.81 - ₹43,995.42 per month
