Salary: ₹3,00,000 per year

About Druve Media

Druve Media Pvt. Ltd. is a creative media and digital company working across content, entertainment, social media, creators, and brands.

We're building an in-house creative team focused on creating high-quality, engaging, and culturally relevant video content across multiple formats and platforms.

We're now looking for a Graphic & Video Editor who is passionate about editing, storytelling, and turning existing long-form content into powerful pieces of content.

About the Role

This role is primarily focused on editing and repurposing existing video content.

You will receive long-form source content from our team. Your job will be to understand the content, identify the strongest moments, select the right timestamps, and creatively transform them into different formats.

This isn't simply a cut-and-export job.

We're looking for an editor who understands storytelling, pacing, emotions, hooks, music, transitions, visual treatment, and what makes a particular scene worth watching.

You'll work across Long Form, Mid Form and Short Form content, giving you the opportunity to develop your editing skills across multiple formats.

Main Scope of Work1. Long-Form Content

Create engaging long-form edits from existing content, including:

- Trailers from existing content
- Teasers from existing content
- Song videos / song edits from existing content
- Story-driven compilations
- Character-focused edits
- Promotional video edits

The editor should be able to understand the larger story and select the right scenes to create a compelling narrative.

2. Mid-Form Content

Identify memorable moments from existing content and turn them into standalone videos.

This includes:

- Funny Scenes
- Emotional Scenes
- Action Scenes
- Dialogue Clips
- Villain Scenes
- Character Moments
- Memorable Scenes
- High-impact Story Moments

The goal is not simply to extract a scene.

The editor should understand why the scene works, where it should start and end, how it should be paced, and how it can be presented as an engaging piece of content.

3. Short-Form Content

Repurpose existing content into engaging, platform-ready short videos:

- YouTube Shorts
- Instagram Reels
- Facebook Reels
- Meme Content

- Viral Clips
- Trending Videos
- Hook-based short-form edits
- Scene compilations
- Dialogue-based clips
- Character-based edits

You'll be expected to understand the differences between platforms and create edits that are optimized for attention, retention and shareability.

Creative Editing

The editor will be responsible for adding creative value to the original content through:

- Strong opening hooks
- Creative cuts
- Pacing and timing
- Transitions
- Music selection
- Sound effects
- Subtitles and typography
- Zooms and reframing
- Visual effects
- Basic motion graphics
- Color correction
- Creative visual treatments
- Platform-specific formatting

The objective is simple:

Take existing content and make people want to keep watching.

Thumbnail Design

The role also includes creating visual assets such as:

- YouTube thumbnails
- Video thumbnails
- Trailer thumbnails
- Character-focused thumbnails
- Scene-based thumbnails
- Promotional creatives

You should have a good understanding of composition, typography, contrast, visual hierarchy and attention-grabbing design.

Required Skills

We're looking for someone with 1–3 years of hands-on editing experience.

You should have a strong understanding of:

- Video editing fundamentals
- Storytelling through editing
- Short-form content
- Long-form content
- Pacing and timing
- Music and sound design
- Subtitles and typography
- Social media video formats
- Thumbnail design
- Content repurposing

Software

Strong knowledge of at least one professional editing software is required:

- Adobe Premiere Pro
- DaVinci Resolve
- Final Cut Pro

Knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop or Illustrator will be an advantage.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

- Has a strong creative eye.
- Understands storytelling and pacing.
- Can identify the best moments from long-form content.
- Knows how to turn a scene into a compelling short-form video.
- Understands hooks and audience retention.
- Has good music and sound instincts.

- Has a strong sense of typography and visual composition.
- Can work independently from a brief.
- Can manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Is comfortable receiving feedback and improving their work.
- Is curious about new editing styles and trends.
- Takes ownership of their edits from start to finish.
- Most importantly, loves editing.

Important — Read Before Applying

This is not a basic social media posting role.

This is also not a podcast, UGC, or influencer-content editing role.

The majority of the work will involve existing long-form entertainment/video content provided by the team.

We expect you to watch the content, understand it, identify opportunities and decide:

What should become a trailer?
What should become a teaser?
Which scene deserves a Reel?
Which dialogue could become a viral clip?
Which character moment deserves its own edit?

If you only want to do basic cuts, subtitles and exports, this role may not be for you.

If you're someone who wants to push your editing skills to the next level, experiment with different styles and learn how professional content is transformed across formats, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Get at Druve Media

- Work extensively with long-form entertainment content
- Exposure to multiple editing formats
- Opportunity to develop advanced storytelling skills
- Learn how long-form content is converted into short-form content
- Work on trailers, teasers, scenes, reels, shorts and viral formats
- Develop stronger thumbnail and visual-design skills
- Work with an in-house creative team
- Receive regular creative feedback and improve through real projects
