We are building the first precision health platform for pets – a sensor-driven, AI-powered ecosystem that decodes health signals dogs give off every day. Our flagship product, EverBowl, is a clinical-grade device that measures hydration, food intake, body temperature, eating behavior, and bite acoustics to generate a daily wellness score. Paired with our mobile app and Protect+ insurance-rewards membership, we help pet parents move from guesswork to knowledge.

We are not building another pet gadget. Our success depends on firmware that never fails – reading sensors in sync, streaming data over BLE without loss, and delivering OTA updates to every device in the field without bricking a single unit. This role exists to solve that problem.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Firmware Engineer to build and maintain reliable embedded systems for our sensor-driven hardware. You will work closely with the Lead Firmware Engineer across sensor integration, connectivity, and power management, contributing directly to a product that is deployed in the real world.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain RTOS-based firmware for embedded devices, ensuring stable real-time performance
- Implement drivers and communication logic for sensors over I2C, SPI, and UART, including arbitration across shared buses
- Support BLE-based firmware development for reliable data transfer between devices and the cloud
- Contribute to firmware-level battery charging safety, thermal cutoff logic,



and clock stability under real-world conditions
- Support OTA update mechanisms, including testing rollout and rollback behavior before release
- Debug hardware-firmware interaction issues using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
- Write and maintain unit tests and hardware-in-the-loop tests to catch issues before they reach the field

Required Qualifications

- B.Tech in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field from a Tier 1 institute (IIT, NIT, BITS Pilani, or equivalent) – mandatory
- 4+ years of embedded firmware development experience
- Solid understanding of RTOS concepts and at least one communication protocol used in sensor-based systems (I2C, SPI, UART, or BLE)
- Proficiency in C and C++ for embedded and microcontroller-based systems
- Comfortable reading datasheets and debugging at the hardware-firmware boundary

Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)

- Experience with battery charging circuits or power-path management
- Exposure to OTA update mechanisms for fleet-deployed embedded devices
- Experience working with thermal sensors, IMUs, or camera modules
