Lead Platform / DevOps Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Platform / DevOps Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of our cloud infrastructure, from Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) to production operations. This is an engineering-focused role where you will design, build, automate, and continuously improve a scalable AWS platform supporting a high-growth SaaS product.

You will work closely with development teams and report directly to the Head of Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Develop reusable Terraform modules and blueprints for microservices teams.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
- Establish secure infrastructure practices based on least privilege and zero-trust principles.
- Manage credentials, certificates, keys, and their rotation.
- Design autoscaling, capacity planning, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Implement infrastructure monitoring, observability, and automated drift detection.
- Establish policy-as-code and infrastructure validation processes.
- Plan and execute production changes using documented runbooks and tested rollback procedures.
- Lead incident reviews and postmortems and implement improvements based on lessons learned.
- Partner with developers to establish infrastructure standards and best practices.

Requirements

- 5–10 years of platform/DevOps engineering experience, including at least 5 years of hands-on AWS experience.




- Strong experience with Terraform, including reusable modules, state management, and infrastructure design.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as ECR, ECS/Fargate, DynamoDB, MSK/Kafka, Aurora Serverless, SNS/SQS, CloudFront, S3, Route 53, and IAM.
- Experience scaling SaaS platforms and designing highly available, secure, resilient, observable, and elastic infrastructure.
- Experience with Terraform testing, CI/CD, and infrastructure deployment pipelines.
- Experience planning and executing security, performance, capacity, and disaster-recovery testing.
- Strong communication, ownership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup/scale-up setting.
- Must be currently based in Bangalore, within a reasonable commute to Koramangala.
- Must be available to join within 30 days.

Nice to Have

- Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or GDPR controls.
- AWS certifications such as DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect – Professional, or Security – Specialty.
- Experience with chaos engineering.
- Exposure to AI infrastructure such as RAG, multi-agent systems, sandboxing, or credential brokering.
- CircleCI Orb development experience.
- Strong experience with Claude Code.

Pay: ₹5,000,000.00 - ₹6,500,000.00 per year
